Polish Yourself: Chest and Hip Openers, Twists and Pranayama
Wednesday, July 8th, 6:00 – 8:00PM
There are many aspects to the practice of yoga. The 8 limbs from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras provide guides by which to tune our bodies and minds and, in turn, to live our lives in a more conscious way. This practice will be about the tuning, polishing, and refining.
There are edges we come up against in the physical body when we practice our asana (postures). These edges are sometimes the result of simply living in a human body and sometimes the result of living in a certain state of mind that deposits itself in the body. Often, it is a bit of both. This practice will aim to make new space inside by opening up those edgy bits.
Come as you are for a mixed-levels Vinyasa Flow practice aimed at bringing you back to center – perfect in your imperfection, your crookedness, and your edges that make you who you are.
