My first yoga experience was as a young girl attempting to imitate my grandmother, a devoted yogi. But it was not until I became an adult and developed a passion for rock climbing that I turned to yoga in earnest—first as a way to find balance and to achieve a greater level of flexibility. This exclusively physical exploration of yoga evolved into a deep practice that is now a tool for learning about life; one that I am grateful to experience alongside my students.
I have been teaching yoga since 2007. Starting as a student of Iyengar and Ashtanga, my teacher training has included Shiva Rea's Prana Flow Vinyasa, as well as intensive study with many other wonderful teachers including Schuyler Grant, Tiffany Cruickshank, Seane Corn, Kathryn Budig, and Rod Stryker. This training has provided an eclectic and deep skill set that informs the classes I teach today.
My attention to alignment detail and an appreciation for more subtle aspects of the practice such as pranayama (breath work), meditation and the bandhas (energetic locks) — help me create rich and varied experiences for my students. My yoga classes are well-crafted, educational, sweaty and spiritual journeys for students with a sense of adventure who are not afraid to work or to look more deeply at themselves—and to laugh along the way.

There are currently 3 ways to practice with me:
- In Person (limited capacity) at Eden Yoga Shala for those who are fully vaccinated (proof required at first visit).
- Live on Zoom - Eden Yoga Shala in person classes will be live streamed. Students will not be visible on camera.
- Recorded - Get a Shala Zoom class recording if you cannot attend a livestream or if in person classes are full.
Important things to know:
-At this time in person (indoor) class participants must be fully vaccinated to attend. Proof of vaccination is required at your first class. Please text your vax card (207-669-5313) prior to class (preferred) or bring it with you. If you cannot get vaccinated or are not yet fully vaccinated (2 weeks out from last dose), please attend a Zoom class.
-Masking: Masking is optional at this time as classes are very limited capacity and all are fully vaccinated. You can do what is most comfortable for you. I will be masking as I am speaking for much of the time. Please watch this space for any changes to this policy.
-The registration button (big blue button way down the page) is for in-person classes only. Zoom class registration has not changed and is below the in person classes. Be sure you are signing up for the right class please!
-Class capacity is very limited and therefore cancellation policies are firm. In person classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Email me to cancel rather than no-show as there may be a wait list.
-Cancellations will be posted on this page and via my email list.

Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Be courteous and contact me via email to cancel as there may be a wait list.
$18 (register at big blue button below, contact if you need another way to pay). No drop-ins permitted, pre-registration required. No class pass use while we are so restricted with space.
Mats and props are available for use, but please bring your own mat if you own one. No hands on assists at this time.
Classes are simultaneously live-streamed on Zoom. In-person students will not be visible on camera.
To get on a wait list for a class that is full, email Heather and include your cell #.
Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before class start time.

The Zoom link will be sent out to my full email list for both the Monday and Saturday classes (on Monday am & Friday am respectively). These emails may land in your spam/promotions folders, so check there.
If you are not on the email list - for your first class, no later than one hour before class start time, pay for a spot and then separately email me to request the Zoom link. Get on my email list here.
Recordings that are valid for 48 hours after class can be purchased if you cannot attend a live stream. Please pay for a spot (or use Zoom class pass) and then email separately to request the recording.
Zoom class (or recording) registration process:
- Pay either the drop-in Zoom class rate ($14) or choose an amount below or above that fits your budget. Use the payment options below. Please check to make sure your payment has gone through. If you would prefer to pay by check, please contact me.
- If you have a class pass specifically for Zoom use, email me to let me know you will be attending class and would like to use your online class pass. This helps me keep track.
- Use the Zoom link that was sent out to the email list (check your promotions/spam).
- Zoom room opens 10 minutes before class start time.
Please Note: Starting 30 minutes prior to classes I cannot be reached via text and may not be able to respond to email, so please be sure you have what you need before then to get you into class.

Simplicity for Consistency: 9 Day Online Meditation Program for All
Thursday, October 21 to Friday, October 29
Registration deadline is 5PM Thursday, October 21
Over the course of 9 days, we will meet via Zoom for 5 meditation sessions of 15-20 minutes in length. All sessions will be recorded if you cannot attend live and will be accessible for 2 weeks after the program ends.
Consistency in practice is what unlocks the true benefits of meditation. We will keep the techniques simple with the intention of encouraging a strong foundation. All levels of experience are welcome. This program is offered on a sliding scale, but please be in touch if cost is an issue. Complete a payment choice below and you will be emailed a confirmation of your registration into the program.

Live Zoom sessions will be held on Thursday 6:30PM (10/21), Saturday 8AM (10/23), Monday 8AM (10/25), Tuesday 7PM (10/26), Friday 7PM (10/29). All times are east coast.
