This special two-hour practice will focus on the physical, energetic and emotional qualities of the 3rd and 4th chakras (located in the solar plexus and the heart). Through this practical and inspirational exploration of the chakra system, we will facilitate strengthening, cleansing, and balancing of the physical and energetic body through asana (yoga postures), mantra (sound healing), pranayama (breath work) and meditation.
The third chakra, in the belly, is associated with confidence, will power, self esteem and our place in the world. The fourth chakra is connected to love and compassion — for others and for ourselves. When a chakra is weak or out of balance, we may experience physical, mental or emotional distress. The unblocking and balancing of the chakras can promote harmony and equilibrium of the mind, body, and spirit. When we learn how to organize our energy and observe our emotions, a greater level of health, peace and balance is possible.
This practice will help you realize the full spectrum of healing that is available through yoga when physical and energetic practices are combined.
