Engage/Melt: Hips & Shoulders

Here’s the formula: First, Vinyasa Flow yoga to create a bit of heat and engagement; next, myofasical release on tennis balls to melt points of tension; and then, brief Yin yoga holds to create length at rest.  A perfect mix of Yang/Yin.

The hips and the shoulders are gateways to the arms and legs and carry loads of physical tension, and they also tend to squirrel away a whole lot of emotional tension as well. This practice will aim to open, release and restore.

You can expect a balanced recipe: equal parts work and letting go.
