This specialized two-hour practice will focus on the physical, energetic, and emotional qualities of the 5th and 6th chakras—the throat and third eye/mid-brain. The fifth chakra is associated with our ability to communicate, listen, and to self-express, and our tendency toward judgment (of self and others). Our sixth chakra is associated with intuition, our sense of wisdom and knowing, our cognitive abilities, imagination and self realization.
When a chakra is weak or out of balance, we may experience physical, mental, or emotional distress. The unblocking and balancing of the chakras can promote harmony and equilibrium of the mind, body, and spirit. This practice will provide an experience of genuinely blending physical and energetic practices. You can expect active and passive postures, some time spent on balancing postures, chanting, breathwork, deep rest, and a full chakra meditation to close.
This workshop is the third of four chakra practices this winter. You can take just one or all of them. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. A minimum number of student registrations is required one week before the practice, so please sign up as soon as you can commit. Please join me by signing up online, or, if you prefer cash or check payment, be in touch with me to arrange registration.
