Nature shows us where to go and how to go there. The darkness of the wintertime is an invitation to slow down and nourish ourselves. This post holiday season practice is an opportunity to drop into our breath and body in a slow, deep way. The principles of Yin yoga ask us to put our bodies into relaxed shapes and to add a subtle amount of stress to the tissues while we soften the muscles and then stay there for a bit. In turn, this allows for a more unencumbered and balanced flow in our energetic channels (meridians). We will work with meridians associated with the season of winter and conclude the practice with Savasana and meditation. This will be a hybrid offering – in person for those who are fully vaccinated (proof required) or live stream on Zoom. A recording will be available for 48 hours after the class concludes if you cannot attend live. All levels are welcome and pre-registration is required (no drop ins).
