Please read and follow these guidelines for joining a class

Registration: Online registration and payment is required. Because we must maintain social distancing, attendance is strictly limited, therefore, I cannot accept drop-ins for these classes.

Parking: You MUST park in the lot by the Red Barn at the Causeway Club and WALK down North Causeway Lane (1/3 mile, 7-min walk) to the pool and tennis court area where the yoga class is held. Parking is not permitted for yoga students at the pool and tennis courts area — no exceptions.

Directions: The Causeway Club is located at 10 Fernald Point Road, in Southwest Harbor. Please park in the large lot by the Red Barn. Follow the road beside the Red Barn (called North Causeway Lane) to walk to the pool and tennis courts area. Give yourself about 7 minutes.  DO NOT DRIVE TO THE POOL AREA. The entry to the pool area is located between the tennis courts and the pool building. Take the first gate on the left to reach the pool. Yoga practice will be on the lawn between the pool and the ocean. Available mat spaces will be marked.

Mats & Props: You must bring your own yoga mat (or towel) and any props you may need.

Masks: When arriving and leaving the immediate pool area, you are required to wear a mask. You are welcome to remove your mask when you are on your yoga mat. Please practice social distancing at all times.

Arrival: Please arrive for class no earlier than 7:45 A.M., but please do not show up late; making sure we are all settled on our mats with appropriate distancing before class starts at 8:00 is important.

Hand Sanitizing: Please sanitize your hands upon arrival with the sanitizer provided when you check in for class, or use the sink in the pool restroom. Feel free to bring your own hand sanitizer.

Distancing: All mats will be distanced approximately 10 feet apart. Our practice area is on an open lawn beside the ocean, where there is ample air flow. I will be either on my yoga mat or walking around occasionally while teaching, but I will give all students more than 6 feet of space at all times (obviously, no hands-on assists). I will wear a mask when I check in students before class, and after class, but I will not wear one while teaching.

Illness: You are expected to refrain from participating if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, the flu, the common cold, or are generally feeling unwell. If you have been around someone who has Covid-19 or is suspected of having it, please do not attend class.

Cancellations and Weather: Even though there are no refunds, credits or transfers, please let me know if you must cancel, as I may have a wait list.  In the case of inclement weather, your registration will automatically be added to the Thursday rain date (confirm with Heather that you can attend please).  If you cannot attend the Thursday rain date, you will be issued a credit to use for a future class.  If class is canceled altogether for both days, you will receive a credit for another class. Announcements will be made on the web page as well as on social media by 6:30AM if there is a schedule change or cancellation.  Additionally, participants who are registered for class will be emailed.  If there is no announcement posted, class will be held.  We do not cancel for foggy or cloudy days – this is Maine.

Clothing: The practice area is beside the ocean, so please dress in layers. Consider bringing water and sunscreen.

Restroom: There is a restroom on-site at the pool, and there is also one in the Red Barn, but they may be popular as class is about to begin. Consider using your own bathroom before you come to class.

Waiver: Please complete the online waiver that is included in the registration process. This is required.
